Library Book Sale a Success
Library Announcements April 13th. 2009, 7:44amThanks to everyone who participated in the library book sale which was held April 3-4 during the 2009 Festival on the Green. There was a great stock of books for sale, especially in fiction and literature, history, and science. The weather was perfect and everyone particularly enjoyed the outdoor part of the sale on Saturday, April 4.

The library always uses the proceeds to buy more books for our collection. This year we raised a net total of $1,883.01 after deducting sales tax. Especially in this period of reduced budgets and economic downturn every dollar is important and helps the library provide essential resources for our students and faculty. So, thanks again to everyone for your support!

Our sales are always targeted primarily at students so we are always happy when plenty of students come and take advantage of our low, low prices. Of course, we can’t have a good book sale without the many individuals and organizations who donate books to the library each year. After we sort them and search our catalog, we sell the books we can’t use. The library greatly appreciates our generous donors and the high quality of the material they give us. Gifts are always welcome. For more information call (850) 474-2449 or email dnorth@uwf.edu.
